No wiring is the defining feature. A 2V 100mA solar panel charges a 600mAh battery over roughly 12 hours of daylight, and a built in light sensor switches the fixture on at dusk for up to 12 hours of run time. That means the light can be placed on a step, a path edge, a garden bed or a patio wherever it is actually needed, and moved later, without trenching, transformers or a circuit.
The body is imitation crystal glass with an ABS shade, a pairing that keeps the faceted, jewel like appearance while giving the fixture impact and weather resistance that real glass would not survive at ground level. It measures 3.94 inches square and 2.17 inches high and weighs under half a pound, so it sits low enough on a stair tread to light the step without becoming an obstacle on it.
Four light colours are selectable at a push button switch: warm white 3000K, pure white 6000K, blue and green, which lets the same fixture serve as everyday path lighting or seasonal accent. Output is a deliberate 70 lumens at 1W, bright enough to mark an edge without flooding a garden. An IP65 rating covers rain, snow and dust for year round outdoor use.
